The design & form factor of the X1D2....

the most beautiful camera ever, when I first laid eyes on one a few years ago. I still think so when comparing it to the X2D or any other camera. It feels very special in the hand and when paired with the xcd28P or 45P, it's probably the most compact medium format camera around. I also enjoy adapting to the characteristics of its shooting style - with intent and purpose; a slow dance to savour the moment.
The X2D is more technically advanced and has more features but personally, I don't need 100mp, a flip screen or Ibis etc. The X1D2 is all about the aesthetics and the enjoyment of taking photographs. Have you anything to add? smile

Great to see you use the Xpan crop on the X1D2. Perfect for such photos.

I have a soft spot for the X1D2 over the X2D.

Interesting. Why the soft spot for the X1D2?

My friend said initially the Xpan crop option disappeared from the X2D.

But I agree with your assessment of the X2D re slow dance. I don’t mind the slower AF. I also have no need for 100mp! Print wise, 60mp is plenty for big prints.

Thank you.
