Paris in the spring is such a beautiful city. There is a bounce in the step of one and all – tennis players and spectators alike. I was lucky enough to be invited to Richard Mille’s Lounge at Roland Garros where we were all assembled to delight at the tennis on the Centre Court (known as Philippe Chatrier). It seems strange that a tennis stadium would be named after a World War 1 fighter pilot and innovator: Roland Garros. There must be something in the gladiatorial nature of the air t... more

In celebration of the inaugural edition of "Les Voiles de St Barth" regatta, title sponsor Richard Mille introduces a limited edition titanium dive watch, the RM 028 Les Voiles de St Barth. This 100-piece special edition pays tribute to the international yacht race that takes place in the Caribbean waters surrounding St Barth from April 6th to 11th, 2010. With the introduction of the RM 028 in 2009, Richard Mille combined the exceptional case and skeletonized movement that has become ... more

Richard Mille RM028. Racing with the Trade Winds: Richard Mille at the Voiles de Saint Barths by AndrewH. The trade winds that blew the ships across the Atlantic and led to the discovery of these islands on the edge of the Americas still lead modern sailors to the same place. Leeward of the main air stream, Saint Barthelemy is a small island in the chain, but has become a magnet for yachting across the globe. Sailing in the trade winds around Saint Barthelemy is different because of ... more

The essence of the ‘Lightness of Being’ is that events are not repeatable. The mundane, the expected, the repetitive nature of life weighs you down; you become heavy. Just when you thought you had seen it all, just when you wondered where Richard Mille could go next, he comes right back at you with the lightest watch (including the strap) that you could hope to see, or feel. Lighter than the weight of the soul of the wearer, the RM027 watch is the definition of lightness in every sense. In the... more

Over the past two months, the rumour has grown and spread. The partnership between Richard Mille and Rafael Nadal is no longer a secret. We are now pleased to announce it officially and to present our watch, the RM 027, which will be worn by Rafael Nadal during his matches. The introduction of the new RM 027 Tourbillon marks the brand's first entry to the world of tennis courts. As with Felipe Massa who drives every F1 Grand Prix with his watch, Rafael Nadal will play all of his matches wearing ... more

PuristSPro's 2010 SIHH Live Reporting by Z3 Richard Mille at SIHH The new entrant to SIHH has a sexily designed booth, with strong popularity and plenty of traffic... As I was checking in at the front desk, I was greeted by the Man himself, and the visiting buddy FP Journe. Here are some of the pieces that were present at the show: RM020 - heavy, chunky (especially the chain), and total deviation from the traditional elegance of the pocket watch - a cla... more

Richard Mille’s first attendance at SIHH was more a case of being seen, that anything new that he had to show. To pre-empt myself a little, the best from Richard Mille this year will come later in the summer months, rather than now. That said, what he did have in the booth was stunning and I picked on four pieces that perhaps previously I had doubts on. I have stated before that the Richard Mille diver watches were not for me. I think I was wrong on that one. I also brushed over the RM021 ‘Aerod... more
