Central second hand should not take away the Panerai identity

infact, Central second hand would make the watch more beautiful and accurate at the same time since you get the 12-3-6-9 dial (like the base dial) + a non disruptive second hand (please don't lume it like Rolex, just a central hand), so when it's glowing, you get the base dial, it's a clean dial

Anyone else want Panerai to make an in-house movement w/ central seconds hand?

Just curious if anyone would like this? I'd like to see more Panerai's with central seconds hand instead of a sub-secs at 9 o'clock. Cheers, Anthony Wearing my PAM29 today!...

+1!

Would be nice to see the seconds hand going around the whole case

I do too!

And please make it Hand wound, in a 47mm case at that! Ciao Stephen

I don't know. I think Panerai should work on a totally new case, first,

Small, around 40 mm, to house complications. Where is the link with the big segond hand? Because I see a big second hand better in such a case than on their current watches... Best, Nicolas

not necessary

For a Panerai I prefer this hand at 9 o'clock but I would love to see a new case. The one they used for the Ferrari line would be fine. If that watch would have been branded as Panerai and not Ferrari I'm sure it would sell easy. People didn't want that F...

Of course!!

Takes away the identity

IMO it takes away from the identity of the watch. One thing that identifies a Pam from a distance is either the base dial or the seconds dial. Any more into the watch, a d you veer away from Panerai DNA, hence the prices simple models command.

Agreed!

I agree that a central seconds hand is a step away from its identity. But if Panerai were to come up with a whole new case (as suggested in an earlier post), then perhaps a central seconds hand would be nice. But with the current traditional cases, I'd sa...
