Blancpain: I saw the Act 3 a few weeks ago and it is a superb watch.

Hélas, the price of this gold-bronze version was equally "superb". But in steel it could be the one for me.

Blancpain: A wonderful watch.

Every time I see any of your vintage FF's I am thinking that the "modern" FF's ,including the recently released 42 mm versions, do not share too many design elements in common. If it were not for the brand or the name I would probably not relate the Vintage and modern FF's .

Girard Perregaux: Dear Marc, thanks a lot for this post.

It raises a lot of questions and concerns that we all have for this brand. I agree with you on a few crucial mistakes done historically and lately by GP : 1. they do not control their distribution : way too many brandnew watches appear on the secondary market with huge discounts. This kills customer

Independents: Beautiful watches.

But some of the most insane prices that I have ever seen on a watch! The secondary market will tell us the truth.

Independents: With today's CNC technology there is no more a significant difference between the various metal types.

Despite what the manufactures want us to believe, the case work is predominantly done by a machine.
