For the record....

just as the rm27 is without doubt my favorite watch of all time (though admittedly I am still in the honey moon period of having only had it for a few months) if I had to choose between my Porsche Turbo, G55 and last in series wide body Bentley Azure Mulliner it would be the G55 any day ANY-DAY of the week. If you're into cars and get the opportunity to drive one, you have to do it. The noise is second only to a Vanquish.

Cars and watches....

Just as a 1940s PP 1518 might go with a vintage Bentley, which car is it being pitched against this watch exactly?..........

Pagani Zonda...

 By: Zoro55 : October 10th, 2010-15:46
... the last model that has the carbon body Or the new Lamborghini that was just unveiled in Paris salon de l'auto. But that's still a concept. Nice game!

I dont have a clue

 By: tourbillon001 : October 10th, 2010-20:23
but I can tell you its not a zonda. the exhaust pattern is not correct. It would have had 4 pipes that almost make a circle.

Come on guys, think about the automotive equivalent......

of the watch but not necessarily the ultra lightness......!...

Bugatti ? [nt]

Hmm...

AMG SLR or McLaren maybe...

Perhaps Ferrari: 458 Italia or 599; Maserati. Gran Sport.

why? Both car firms started out as 'one-man' firms that became world beaters. The cars evoke feelings, more than the drive - makes you smile. Would have included Lamborghini, but the curve of the car does not seem in the Lambo world. Best guess! Andrew H

For me, a Bugati would be akin to an RM12, a 458 to perhaps....

an AP CW1? This however, much like the RM27, is a VERY different beast that like the 27, 'does what it says on the tin'!...

Lambo Reventon ,

 By: fomar : October 11th, 2010-09:38
Considering the materials used on the RM27 and the lightness , perhaps a superbike would be a better pairing !

You are wrong, and whilst I agree with you that....

 By: Da Guru : October 11th, 2010-11:03
the Lambo wouldn't be a good comparison, neither would a Super-bike for its lack of toughness IMO.

Drum roll please..........

I give you the one, the only, utilitarian super-car ever made.......The G55. Just as at home taking a battering n the woods, quarries, mountain tops or swamps as it is at 120 mph on the motor-way, eventually coming to rest in the city, where it turns only...

I would have never guessed that

 By: tourbillon001 : October 11th, 2010-19:13
in a million years. Cool truck though. The RM 12 reminds me a of a ducati. The RM 27 makes me think of a black enzo

Yeah, you could go that way with the comparison aesthetically...

 By: Da Guru : October 12th, 2010-01:16
but in actuality they are opposites I think. The 27 being as much a contradiction unto itself as the Merc. A utilitarian complicated racing machine on the wrist built primarily for withstanding huge shocks where as the Enzo needs a glass like surface to d...

I will have to get a ride in one soon

 By: tourbillon001 : October 12th, 2010-18:03
I've been fortunate enough to drive an enzo on more than one occasion and it was really fun.

Trade ya rides?.....!

enzo n 027...

Great photo

 By: fomar : October 14th, 2010-23:12
The watch looks fantastic with the light bouncing off ! Car not too bad either ;-)

be careful ...

 By: dms : October 15th, 2010-03:08
... photographying your watch while driving at 120km/h might not be the safest thing to do. Actually, wearing a RM while driving is not safe: it diverts your attention from the road ... but sooooo enjoyable ;-)

Sick combo

 By: Hampusw : October 16th, 2010-01:17
What a cool combo amhh, would love to see more enzo + RM027 pics How long have you had them for? Best, H

Will we ever grow up?...

If it's true what they say about the 'oder the boys the bigger the toys' what will we be buying when we're 70?!
