Thoughts on the RM029?

Hi all,

I'm toying with the idea of dipping my toe in the water with the RM 029 Ti.  I recently visited an RM boutique for the first time and looked at the 010 and 029 as both work for my budget and work well in terms of size (48mm lug to lug is max size for my wrist).  There appears to be a lot of positive posts on the 010 but I've not managed to find anything on the 029 other than a few instagram pics.  I'm curious to hear this forums' views and particularly interested to hear from anyone who currently owns, or has owned, the 029 what their experiences have been.  Is the 029 not a popular model, any regrets, or known issues with the 029?

I like the depth of the dial of the 029 a little better than the 010 and, all else being equal, am leaning toward the 029 as it is a more recent release.  Is it right to assume that the more recent release of the 029 (vs. the 010) means there have been some slight improvements in the 029's movement vs. the 010?  The descriptions on the RM website suggests the movements are identical except for the date function but thought I'd ask just in case.

Sorry for all the questions.  Thank you!
GS

But if both are within your means, i'd spring for the 29. The date on this particular movement can get pretty hard to read. Plus, it's a little less common (for an RM) if that matters.

The RM029 is too recent in terms of being owned by some of the

forum members around here. However, this is what I know: the RM029 has basically the same base movement over the RM010. Both are from Vaucher. However, the RM029 has an improved and augmented movement over the RM010. At the end of the day, it should be th...

Thanks Andrew and HPoirot for your thoughts - I decided to go for the RM29 and I'm liking it more every day (wondering why I waited so long to pu the trigger). Runs a little faster than I would like (10 seconds per day) but I'll put aside my OCD for once ...
