2 RM004's, some interesting changes

Mar 08, 2010,15:40 PM

Took this at lunch today. Just from quick glance I noticed a few differences. Both are V2's, but the RG piece is a much lower number than the WG. Can you spot the differences? What do you think of them?

Cool photo Steve - great to see you here - how are you?

As to the photo. Note the font on the minute counter, the power reserve (or the torque - cannot quite remember) on the upper left of the dial as you look at the watch, the selector indicator is also of less prominence on the dial. Cool - had not realized ...

I'm great, thanks Andrew. How are you?

Has been a crazy couple years. Are you coming back to CA at any point or over there for good? I think you got most of the changes I had noticed. There is another big one though. The piece by the crown which goes underneath the 2,3,4 is one piece in the WG...

Good thanks. I think I am now in Europe more permanently,

but sure do miss CA (almost every day). Not a 100 percent, and the never say never defense, I might yet be back. Was hoping to make Basel, but alas, not to be so. Be good to see you soon. Cheers! Andrew H

interesting differences on the reverse too

Did you take any photos of the movement. I think that's where the most significant changes were made. I'll see if I can dig up some photos I took of mine compared to the old version. Greg

Interesting...

I'm not sure I'd have noticed all the subdial font changes without seeing them next to each other... thanks A
