Richard Mille: RM004 prospects as major collector's item

I've had the same thoughts. It seems to me too that RM004 will either be discontinued soon or will be made in even fewer numbers than it has. Several reason why I think it will end up being a major collector's item: 1. It has been made in very limited numbers of about 2 per month. If it is discontin

Richard Mille: no problem with RM004 - excellent customer service!

I'm happy to report that there is no problem with my RM004. It was in service most recently to take care of a fairly minor problem where sometimes the watch would stop when the seconds were split and the running second hand was about to pass the 12. This problem would only occur when the power reser

Richard Mille: grail RM

A few months ago I got my grail RM back from service. They did a great job, and it's now as good as new! By the way, I've visited various ADs around the world and now rarely ever see a RM004. Greg This message has been edited by gls on 2011-08-27 19:37:33

Richard Mille: weights with and without straps/buckles

Ok, if there is no difference between the auction version of the RM035 and the regular one, then I still can't account for the difference between 33.6g and the measured 41g. The 33.6g does includes everything, so it includes the strap and buckle. I've read that the RM027 is 13g without strap/buckle

Richard Mille: this explain the mystery

Recall that I computed the volume of the RM010 case based upon a difference between the weighings of my titanium RM010 and a friend's white gold RM010. Although I weighed mine precisely to within 1/100 of a gram, it seems my friend's weighing was not so precise. So, I estimated the area of the case

Richard Mille: don't want anyone to think I'm criticizing RM035

I'm just trying to make some sense of why it weighs a lot more at 41g than the 23g I figured it ought to weigh. I just assumed that the ultra light-weight magnesium-aluminum alloy was used to make the case much lighter. It still doesn't make sense to me that you could get a watch down to 46g with a

Richard Mille: maybe this accounts for it ...

There doesn't seem to be much difference between the unique version offered at auction and the retail version. Maybe if there were more of a difference, it would make it more unique. Greg

When will you have the RM035 and be able to weigh it? Greg

Richard Mille: Then here's what's amazing ...

After figuring it should be possible for it to weigh 23g, it's surprising to see a weight of 41g clearly shown on the scale! Are you sure there isn't a weighing pan or something that needs to be subtracted? In other words, what weight is registered after the watch is taken off that white weighing pa

Richard Mille: How much RM035 really weighs

I've seen greatly varying accounts of how much the RM035 weighs. In this forum, 35g is mentioned. On various versions of the announcement I've seen both 41g and "under 20g". On Richard Mille's web site, the specs for RM035 list the exact weight of the movement, along with other minutiae, but no ment
