second, most standard models of most manufacturers drop more than the rare editions.  Think of a Calatrava.  Rolex might hold their price in the initial instance after the first release, but give it a little time, and the price drops.  Third, as you point out, you are comparing to the MSRP - although this is the price that should be paid, it is not necessarily so if purchasers have been able to claim back sales tax (for whatever legal reason). 


Fourth, prices are not discussed on PuristsPro. Welcome!  However, I noted that you are something of a newcomer around here, and on the AP forum for that matter, so suffice to say that in future I will either delete or lock the thread.

Hence, without qualification, not sure you blanket and unsubstantiated statement says anything.

Didn't mean to disrespect The brand or anyone. I'm planning of buying an RM 010 and saw the secondary prices at 45-50 and i think the bnew price is 60-70. Just wondering why that is. Please delete the thread mod and thanks.
