but the pictures, good as they are, don't quite convey just how nice this watch is in person.
I had the good fortune to try one on when I was last in NY. I went in
expecting to see the 005, which they had and I thought was OK,
but not a watch I would buy. The 010 made this exclusive
VC-exclusive collector think seriously about having a horological fling
with RM!
The effect of the skeletonizing on the RM-010 is so very different from
the effect that skeletonizing has on a VC movement. While hard to
describe in words, I'd say that RM's skeleton work emphasizes the
dimensionality of the movement, showing off all the layers of the
movement, while VC's skeleton work tries to make the movement almost
transparent.
