Sorry to here about your disappointment with RM aftersales, Any watch repair/service should not be judged on speed alone, especially complicated movements such as RM. I would much rather have the work done correctly, to work on such movements cannot be done correctly if done at speed. I do understan
To get a correct reading you should have the Beat Mode on your machine set at automatic (this will automatically detect BPH), and to get an accurate amplitude reading you will need to know the lift angle of the movement you are testing lift angle can be changed on the machine. Hope this helps.
Should change between five-to midnight and five past midnight (same date change mechanism as RM10), having said that, it's not a major problem and I would hold on until you can get it to your AD, it's not a big job just a small hand adjustment.
