I agree with most of it when it is about dials, hands and crown. It is very hard to beat the original Chronograph which is in essence the ultimate Duomètre in my eyes.
On the case, it looks a bit slimmer but I am surprised by how much the glass actually protrudes, I don't like the side view so much. And I agree, a pity for the crown...
One thing I like is the removal of some of the writing on the dial. I don't like to be told what is what (chronomètre, duomètre, regulateur & heure).
Technically, like you, I would love to have a discussion with Christian Laurent. I still have this video in mind, which made so much sense. That's for me where the Duomètre dream started (barrels, one hand colour per function, etc.)
